Remnants

Countertop Remnants for Vanities and Small Projects

Every big kitchen leaves pieces of beautiful stone behind. Those remnants are too good to waste and too small for another kitchen — but they are exactly the right size for a bathroom vanity, a laundry room, a bar top, a desk or a fireplace surround.

Remnant inventory changes every week, so the best way to shop it is to tell us the size you need or stop by the showroom. We fabricate and install remnants with the same edges, cutouts and care as a full slab.

About Us

A Boynton Beach Countertop Shop With the Slabs Under Its Own Roof

Most countertop companies show you a sample chip and order the slab later. At American Countertops & Design the slabs are already here: more than 500 of them in our Boynton Beach warehouse and showroom on Corporate Drive, a minute from Woolbright Road and I-95.

From there the whole job stays with one team. We measure, template, cut the stone on our own CNC equipment, and install with our own crew. With over a decade of experience in kitchens, bathrooms and custom stonework across Palm Beach County, we would rather control every step than hand your project to three different companies.

Kitchens & Bathrooms

Kitchen Countertops and Bathroom Vanity Tops

A kitchen countertop does more work than any other surface in the house. It takes hot pans, wet sponges, citrus, wine and a thousand chopped onions, so the right stone depends on how you actually cook. Quartz is the no-maintenance choice for families; granite and quartzite handle heat best; marble rewards people who like a surface that ages with character.

Islands are where the decisions get interesting. We fabricate waterfall edges that carry the pattern down to the floor, oversized islands with planned seams you can barely find, and overhangs sized for real stools. Full-height backsplashes cut from the same slab finish the look.

  • Kitchen perimeters, islands and waterfall edges
  • Single and double bathroom vanity tops
  • Undermount, farmhouse and integrated sinks
  • Full-height backsplashes, shower curbs, niches and benches
  • Bars, laundry rooms, fireplaces and outdoor kitchens (natural stone)

Fabrication & Installation

In-House Fabrication and Professional Countertop Installation

Your slab never leaves our hands. We lay out every piece on the stone before cutting, so the veins run in the right direction across the island and meet cleanly at the seams. Then our CNC equipment cuts the sink, cooktop and faucet openings to the millimeter and shapes the edge profile you chose.

Installation day is run by our own crew, not a subcontractor we met last week. We remove the old tops when your project calls for it, level the cabinets, set the stone, bond and polish the seams, attach the undermount sink and clean up before we leave. Most kitchens are installed in a single day.

Countertop Cost

How Much Do Countertops Cost in Boynton Beach?

Countertops are priced by the square foot, and the stone is only part of the number. Two kitchens with the same square footage can land far apart once the edge, the cutouts and the backsplash are counted. These are the things that move your price:

Price factorWhat changes it
MaterialQuartz, granite, quartzite and marble each have entry, mid and premium colors
Square footagePerimeter, island, overhangs and backsplash height
Thickness2cm or 3cm for stones and others for porcelain slabs
Edge profileEased and beveled edges cost less than ogee or mitered edges
CutoutsUndermount sink, cooktop, and custom openings
Tear-outRemoving and disposing of existing countertops

The fastest way to a real number is the free estimate: send your measurements or a sketch, tell us the material, and we come back with pricing for your layout. If a full slab is more than the project needs, ask about remnants.

FAQ

Countertop Questions From Boynton Beach Homeowners

How long does countertop installation take?

After you choose the slab and we template your cabinets, fabrication typically takes 7–10 business days. Most kitchens are then installed in a single day. Larger islands, waterfall edges and full-height backsplashes can add time, and we tell you the schedule up front.

Is quartz or granite better for a Florida kitchen?

Both work well; they just ask different things of you. Quartz is non-porous, never needs sealing and is the easiest to keep clean, but it should not take a hot pan directly and is not made for outdoor sun. Granite is natural stone that handles heat and outdoor kitchens well, and it needs a simple reseal every year or two. Families who want zero maintenance usually pick quartz; people who cook hot and want one-of-a-kind patterns lean toward granite or quartzite.

What is the difference between quartz and quartzite?

Quartz is engineered: crushed natural quartz bound with resin into a consistent slab. Quartzite is a natural metamorphic stone quarried in slabs, harder than granite, with the soft veining people love in marble. Quartzite is the better choice for heat and sun; quartz is the better choice if you never want to seal anything.

Can I pick my own slab at your showroom?

Yes. Our Boynton Beach warehouse and showroom holds more than 500 slabs of quartz, granite, marble and quartzite. You can walk the racks, see full slabs and choose the exact piece that will be fabricated for your home.

Do you remove old countertops?

Yes, we can remove and dispose of your existing countertops as part of the project. It is listed on your estimate so you know exactly what is included before we start.

Do you install sinks and make the cutouts?

Yes. We supply undermount, farmhouse and integrated sinks, and cut sink, cooktop and faucet openings in our shop. The sink is attached during installation; the final plumbing hookup is done by your plumber.

Do you sell countertop remnants?

Yes. Remnants are leftover pieces of premium stone that are ideal for bathroom vanities, laundry rooms, bars and small projects. Inventory changes weekly, so call or visit to see what is available in the size you need.

Do you offer financing for countertops?

Yes, we offer financing through Synchrony with monthly payment options, subject to credit approval. You can start the application online or ask our team at the showroom.

What areas do you serve?

We install countertops across Palm Beach County and North Broward, including Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Lake Worth Beach, Wellington, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach.
