Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Newer homes, most of them single-family and owner-occupied.
The median home in Palm Beach Gardens was built in 1995, 7 to 12 years later than in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach or West Palm Beach. Sixty-two percent are single-family houses or townhomes, and 73% are lived in by their owners.
Whether you're replacing the countertop your house came with or choosing stone for a kitchen still being built, we handle it from templating to installation. Each top is cut in our shop in Boynton Beach and set by our own installers, and most kitchens are installed in a single day. Our countertop installation page walks through each step.
From our showroom, the drive is about 25 miles, roughly 30 minutes via I-95 without traffic. Short on time? Email a photo of your kitchen with rough dimensions to sales@american-tops.com and we'll quote your layout, or we'll come measure it for free.

Islands & Waterfalls
Big islands are planned on the slab before the first cut.
A standard slab stops at about 120 inches long and 55 wide. Go longer than that and the island needs two slabs and a seam, so we arrange the pieces on the real stone, place the joint somewhere it won't draw the eye and point it out to you before anything is cut.
A waterfall end turns the countertop down the side of the island to the floor. We draw the top and that side panel together, letting the pattern turn the corner instead of ending at it, and the corner joint is a miter cut in our shop.
Our kitchen page covers overhangs, stool space and waterfall islands in more detail, and the fabrication page explains our mitered edges and seam planning.
A big island puts one slab on display, so choose it in person — the showroom holds 500+ slabs. You can also preview our slabs in stock online first.
Gated Communities
Settle a few details with your gate and your HOA before install day.
Our service area covers all of Palm Beach Gardens, gated golf communities included, from PGA National and BallenIsles to Mirasol and Old Palm. Communities like these usually decide who gets through the gate and when contractors may work, so settle the details before we set dates.
From our side, most kitchens are installed in a single day. The crew also cleans up before leaving your home.
New Construction
For houses still being finished, and for owners replacing the builder's standard top.
In western Palm Beach Gardens, Avenir is a master-planned community off Northlake Boulevard where new homes are still going up.
Already moved in, with the builder's standard countertop? We can pull it out, haul it away as part of the project and install the stone you'd rather have, and every item shows up on your estimate.
Still under construction? Plan around the cabinets: we template once they're in, and 7–10 business days after templating is the typical wait for installation, so give us your move-in date early.
Along with homeowners, our team works with many designers, builders and contractors, and we can quote from a drawing or a photo with approximate measurements. Changing the cabinets too? Our cabinetry is made to order, and we install it as well.
Outdoor Kitchens
Granite or quartzite on the patio; quartz and marble stay indoors.
For outdoor kitchen countertops in Palm Beach Gardens, we recommend granite or quartzite. Both are natural stone that handles heat, and quartzite, the harder of the two, also stands up to sun.
We don't recommend quartz outdoors, because direct sunlight can fade its resin, and marble is too soft and porous for an outdoor counter in Florida — indoors, we recommend it for vanities and feature areas.
Both natural stones need sealing now and then: granite every 1–2 years, using a penetrating product, and quartzite on a schedule we'll set for your particular slab. No two natural slabs are alike, so pick the outdoor one in person, ideally next to the slab for your kitchen.
Veined like marble but harder than granite, and fine in sun and heat, so the island and the patio can share one stone.
Takes hot pans in the kitchen and works on the patio too. Reseal it every 1–2 years.
Non-porous and never sealed: a good fit for indoor kitchens and baths, but not the patio.
Cut from the same stone as your countertop, 4 inches tall or run to full height.

About 25 miles, roughly 30 minutes via I-95 without traffic. Our address is 2114 Corporate Dr, Boynton Beach, at the Woolbright Road interchange on I-95, one minute from Lowe's. Yes. Our shop in Boynton Beach cuts waterfall ends and mitered edges on its CNC equipment. What limits an island is the slab size, about 120 inches by 55; beyond that, the top comes from two slabs joined at a seam. We decide where that seam goes on the actual stone and show you before cutting. Slabs come in 2 cm and 3 cm, and busy kitchens tend to get 3 cm.
Our team works with many builders, contractors and designers, not just homeowners. On a new home, we template after the cabinets go in, and the install typically falls 7–10 business days after templating. Already closed with the builder's standard countertop? We can take it out and replace it, with the removal itemized on your estimate.
Granite or quartzite. Both are natural stones that take heat and can live outdoors, and quartzite is the harder one. Skip quartz outside, since sunlight can fade the resin, and marble, which is softer and more porous. Granite should be resealed every 1–2 years; quartzite gets a sealing schedule matched to your slab.
